We are delighted to have you with us today!  We invite you to worship with us.  This morning, pastor begins a new series “The Journey to the Cross.”  Today’s message is “Journey to the Cross: Peter.”

guests We ask that all our guests (including those who have visited in the past) fill out the guest registration card and leave it in the pew or place it in the box in the back of the sanctuary so that we may have a record of your attendance.

bylaws vote
A special called business meeting for the purpose of voting on the new bylaws is set for March 21st at 2:00pm. Jeff Hlavin, Secretary-Treasurer of the Assemblies of God, Michigan District, is in charge of this meeting.  All members are strongly urged to be present for this vote.  We will have the final informational meeting next Sunday at immediately following morning worship.

women’s ministries special event today
The women’s ministries meet today, at 4 p.m. with Missionary Dianne Eklund.  Dianne waited over 30 years to become a missionary, and has an amazing testimony of how she got there. She is in the process of getting ready to go to Bangladesh. One of the areas of ministry she is working with is human trafficking. Make plans to come and hear Dianne’s story and invite your friends to come as well. Light refreshments are being served.

daylight saving time
What was found in the fall will be lost Saturday night (March 13th).  Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour Saturday night.   We will see you Sunday at 10:30 a.m.!

missions sunday
Today is Missions’ Sunday.  The first Sunday of each month is designated as Missions’ Sunday.  Please continue your faithful giving to our missionaries.  If possible, set aside some missions money and mark it “undesignated”.  This “undesignated” money helps fill in when pledges are short and keeps our missionaries from getting in a financial bind.

wednesday night Bible study—1st corinthians
We are studying the letter 1 Corinthians. Pastor has begun a new Bible Study entitled “Living in Community” .  We will study 1 Corinthians in its entirety over the next few months.  You are encouraged to be here every Wednesday at 7:00pm.

resurrection sunday egg hunt
First Assembly is having a Resurrection Easter Egg Hunt April 4th.  Please help us by bringing individually wrapped candy.  The youth ministry is having an egg stuffing party March 31st.

Sunday, 2/28/10, the amount given was $2,180.00.

clean up day Resurrection Sunday is April 4th and we are expecting more guests.  Please join us for a clean-up day Saturday, March 20th  from 1:00-3:00pm.  Please bring supplies.

f.u.e.l.
Pastor is teaching leadership to F.U.E.L. student ministries this Wednesday, March 10th at 5:45pm.  A meal is provided.

men’s fellowship
March 27th, the men’s fellowship is hosting a men’s breakfast in the friendship room.  Men, please attend the planning meeting tomorrow night at 6:00pm in the friendship room.

benevolence fundFirst Assembly has a benevolence fund so that we can help those in need as directed in Scripture.  If you would like to give, please mark your envelope “benevolence.”

children’s ministry coordinator
Julie Manning has agreed to serve as a Children’s Ministry Coordinator.  Her duties include making sure that all classes have teachers and all teachers have resources as well as general oversight to the Children’s Ministries.
