Reaching: Through Caring

Scripture:

Luke 7:36-50

Caring is how a church expresses itself to one another and to the community. First Assembly is a church that cares! It is an incredible church…we have some room to grow as we allow God to help us grow in caring.

Caring—means

  • to be concerned or considerate; to have a special preference, to make provision or look out for, to have an inclination, liking, fondness, or affection.

  • But I think of caring as action…it is not passive, but action oriented…it is one thing to care, it is something else to be caring.

  • I would venture a guess that all the people you know that are caring are people who have DONE something to demonstrate that they care.

  • I would also guess that you have heard a lot of people say they care, but have not demonstrated it.
